Who is it

The Cultural Heritage Expert (E-PC) provides his advice on Cultural Heritage to public and private structures that intend to develop territorial tourism development plans or integrated tourism offers

The professional activity of the Cultural Heritage Expert constitutes a non-regulated professional activity pursuant to art. 2 of Law no. 4/2013 which includes professions not organized in orders or colleges.

His knowledge

The Cultural Heritage Expert (E-PC) has a deep knowledge of Cultural Heritage, in its various forms from the material (historical-artistic cultural heritage, landscape and natural heritage) to the intangible one (tradition, folklore, art, food and wine, typical crafts), is the main starting point of the tourist offer (what to promote). The Cultural Heritage Expert must therefore have an accurate knowledge of the National and Regional Cultural Heritage, furthermore in order to make adequate comparisons he should, at least broadly speaking, know the main testimonies of the European and International Cultural Heritage.

The training path

Recipients of the training course

The topics covered make the training course suitable for a wide audience of people, substantially anyone who operates or wishes to operate within the cultural and tourist supply chain (Consultants and Tour Operators).

  • consultants who intend to provide support and knowledge for the preparation of territorial tourism development plans or integrated tourism offers
  • Managers of the PA and of Structures operating in the tourism promotion sector who have an interest in planning integrated tourism offers
  • Tourist Tour Operators who have an interest in proposing integrated tourist offers

Structuring of the training course

For the training of this figure, a specific training course of 180 hours of total commitment hours was created, structured in:

  • 120-hour training course in E-learning mode, structured individual teaching units (UD) necessary for the specific training of the "Expert in Cultural Heritage"
  • Project Work: 30 hours
  • Individual study and exercises: 30 hours

120 hours of teaching in E-Learning mode:

  • UD Unesco and Cultural Heritage
  • UD The Naturalistic Heritage
  • UD The Intangible Heritage
  • UD The Historical Artistic Heritage
  • UD The Enogastronomic Heritage
  • UD The Regional Cultural Heritage

Project Work and Final Exam 

The Project Work activity will aim to develop a project related to real contexts agreed with the didactic tutor. The overall commitment for the Project Work is at least 30 hours. The final exam (written and oral).
Students who complete all the modules and carry out the activities foreseen by the Project Work will be able to access the final exam to obtain the title: "Cultural Heritage Expert" and be entered in the "MSC-DT Register"

Cost

Registration fee for the entire course in installments € 700 + VAT = € 854 (100 + VAT at the time of first registration + 6 installments of € 100 + VAT *)
First installment payment (in case of payment in installments)

In case of total payment at the beginning of the course, a 30% discount is applied
Full training course € 490 + VAT = € 597,80  (Buy entire course)

* In the case of payment by installments, the activation of the individual UDs is linked to the progress of the payments. The installments must be paid before the activation of the single UD following the first.

Final certificate and training credits

To acquire the title of "Cultural Heritage Expert" it is necessary to have attended the entire training course, completed the Project Work and passed the final exam. The complete path allows the acquisition of 6 CF that can be used for those who want to continue the training path for Manager for the Development and Competitiveness of Tourist Destinations (MSC-DT).

Requirements for knowledge, skills and competence

The requirements of knowledge, skills and competence of the professional figure "Cultural Heritage Expert" have been defined on the basis of the schema developed by the Helios Study Center "CSH-PPT.V1.1: Professional Profiles for Tourism (PPT) - Requirements for knowledge, skills and competences - ". The CSH-PPT.V1.1 scheme has been developed in accordance with the European Qualification Framework (EQF) and the e-CF 3.0 model (European e-Competence Framework) in order to achieve greater transparency, national recognition. and international and usability of the acquired qualification.

The registers of the professional figure

The Helios Study Center has set up 2 registers:

  • E-PC Register: register of professionals qualified for the profession "Cultural Heritage Expert" which can be accessed by those who have completed the training course and passed all the required checks
  • E-PC Senior Register: aimed at Cultural Heritage Experts who demonstrate the possession of further requirements in terms of qualifications (formal learning) and work experience (informal learning) provided for by a scheme prepared by the Helios Study Center.

The registers constitute a Guarantee Mark which certifies the possession of the requisites of knowledge, skills and competences envisaged for the professional profile in question and are available to public bodies and private companies in the tourism sector interested in the professional figure "Cultural Heritage Expert" .
