Description

Ermocrate Avenue

Necropolis

The necropolis is made up of around fifty tombs with an east-west orientation very close to each other. These are monolithic sarcophagi covered by a slab or a series of three; of graves dug in the ground sometimes preceded by counter-trenches and of burials in the bare earth. The children's depositions are on bare ground or in a bronze basin with a beaded edge or in Corinthian amphorae of type A. The kit consists of personal objects (iron globe pins, bronze shuttle fibula, ivory comb) while the ceramic material relevant the funeral rite is located outside, in a corner and is mostly made up of kotilai.
