Cascioferro Case Archaeological Site
In a flat area near the Verdura river, in an uncultivated land, an area of ceramic fragments referable to the late ancient and medieval age has been identified. It consists of numerous fragments of achromatic and glazed ceramic of green and brown color.
Nothing remains of the reported Hellenistic settlement, mentioned by Giustolisi, perhaps due to the construction of new trazzere.
Late Antique / Medieval Roman Age - III-VIII century. AD / XI-XIII century. A.D
