Gate III
The gate is one of the 9 gates belonging to the Akrakas defensive structure from the XNUMXth century. AC Della Porta III, located immediately west of the Temple of Juno, today very little remains due to the landslide of part of the rocky ridge and the numerous transformations undergone by the walls in this area, such as the construction of early Christian and Byzantine burials and a large cistern to the west and north of the entrance
