Description:
The site called "Pantani di Anguillara" falls within the territory of Calatafimi-Segesta (province of Trapani). It has numerous temporary ponds that they host
sometimes very rich and expressive aspects of hygro-hydrophilic vegetation. The area, with a mosaic of wet and arid meadows, is also home to various animal species and communities
rare in the provincial or regional context.
4.2Quality and importance
The area is essential at the regional level for its exceptional richness of species and communities, with particular reference to those related to wetlands
temporary. Although further studies are needed, many species find here one of the few regional populations, in some cases even the only population
regional.
