Contrada Longarini ship
Description

Contrada Longarini ship

Late ancient age

Found in 1965 by P. Throckmoton and G. Kapitan, the ship was contemporary with the ship of the Ada of C7AD Yass, but the structural characteristics are similar to those of the Ada of Yassi II but not the same. The ship appears to have unusual features and the planking was fastened with iron nails and forged bolts. It had a mosaic floor and its total length was around 30,30 meters with a load capacity of 300 tons.
