Area of ​​production: Syracuse, Catania, Ragusa and Monti Iblei.

Brief description of the product: Honey comes from the nectar of the flowers of plant species visited by bees.

Description of the processing and maturing methods: The honey is extracted from the honeycombs by the centrifugation method, filtered and stored at room temperature in a cool place.

Specific materials and equipment used for preparation and conditioning: Steel honey extractors, dosing pump, glass jars are used.

Description of the processing, storage and maturing rooms: The processing room of about 168 square meters. divided into 5 rooms:

  • Honey extraction environment
  • Packaging and storage environment
  • Various material storage
  • Anti-bathroom
  • Bathroom
