Garaffo Fountain - Palermo

Marina Square. Made in 1698 by Gioacchino Vitagliano based on a design by Paolo Amato. The structure consists of three tanks, placed in a pyramid, surmounted by a goddess of abundance who rides an eagle in battle with a hydra. Initially placed in front of the Genius of Garraffo alla Vucciria, in Piazza del Garraffo, in 1862 it was moved to Piazza Marina where it is currently located.
