It was the church of the Carmelite monastery and its façade can still be admired in piazzetta del Carmine at the corner with via Mirabella.

Retreat Monastery (Carmelite Monastery)

Piazzetta del Carmine. The Monastery was built in the 1890th century. In XNUMX due to the small number of nuns and in compliance with the provisions of the law, the monastery was suppressed, the furnishings and ornaments were sold at auction, while the urns containing the bodies of Saints Benedict M. and Vittoria were transported to the Cathedral and placed in the chapel of the Crucifix where they are still found today.
