Cirneco dell'Etna
The Cirneco dell'Etna is a native breed of which there are numerous testimonies since ancient times. With the image similar to the Egyptian representations of the god Anubis, the Cirneco is represented in coins, sculptures, paintings, mosaics and literary texts that confirm its Sicilian character. The Cirnechi have always fascinated aristocrats for their elegance and helped peasants in their activities and hunting. For physical construction, prowess and agility, the Cirneco expresses a wonderful synthesis of an animal perfectly adapted to its habitat: the Sicilian territory. It is, in fact, an attentive, sharp, lightning-fast, dynamic, courageous, determined, agile, fast, elegant and gentle animal.
