Oratory of S. Stefano - Palermo
Built in the sixteenth century and remodeled in the eighteenth century. It was the seat of the Compagnia di Santo Stefano. In 1819 a new carved and gilded altar was built and in 1866 the lowering of the level of the road in front made it necessary to build some steps in front of the door. The oratory has a simple facade decorated with pilasters and a central portal with an eighteenth-century wooden door. On the altar there are two statues attributed to Giacomo Serpotta.
