Description

Villa Comunale (Duchi di Cesarò Park) - Taormina

The Villa is one of the most panoramic places in the city with a splendid view of the Etna coast. Originally the park of the home of Lady Florence Trevelyan, an English noblewoman cousin of Queen Victoria, who lived in Taormina since 1884 and married the mayor of Taormina Salvatore Cacciola.  The garden passed to the municipality of Taormina in 1922 and inside, thanks to the inspiration of Lady Trevelyan, you can still admire some particular constructions called 'victorian follies'.
