Ronco in Via dei Servi di Maria (de Matteis garrison)
Gymnasium of the Hellenistic period
Remains of structures pertaining to a large rectangular basin (29,75 x 21,80 m), found one and a half meters below the ground level and dug into the rock. All surfaces were
covered with cement and cocciopesto. At the NE end, a staircase of four steps was set to allow access to the basin, and in the center of the N side, it was dug and
a semi-elliptical shaped pipeline was cemented. Nothing remains of the walls of the elevation but the architectural fragments found demonstrate the importance of the building: eaves with a lion mask and other masks of smaller form,
