Porta Mazzara

Via dei Benedettini. Of Norman origin. It was opened in the 1326th century and renovated in 1885 by Federico di Aragona. In the seventeenth century it was incorporated into the Pescara bastion and became useless for transit. As an alternative, Porta Montalto was built a few meters next to it, facing south. Having demolished the bastion in XNUMX, the gate came to light again.
