DESCRIPTION:
Built around 1163 by the Normans and dedicated to their patron saint. It was the Mother Church of the city until the construction of the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in the 1598th century. Of the primitive construction modified at various times, only a few late-medieval structures remain on the right side, in the ogival side portals with archivolt and on the left side of the facade, rebuilt in XNUMX. The interior, with a single nave, is covered by a wooden ceiling nineteenth-century coffers; it preserves an ancient baptismal font and in the presbytery, a large seventeenth-century canvas.
