Cape Milazzo (ITA030032)

It is a long promontory that extends into the Tyrrhenian Sea and is characterized by limestone cliffs and cliffs. The bioclimate is of the Mediterranean type with superior thermomediterranean thermotype and inferior subhumid ombrotype. The vegetation is purely rupicolous with halophilic aspects of the Crithmo-Limonetea characterized by the presence of Limonium minutiflorum, an endemic species. Casmophilic aspects are also found on the rocky cliffs and aspects of scrub ad Euphorbia dendroides.

This promontory, due to the spectacular nature of its coastal rocky habitats, unique in the whole area of ​​north-eastern Sicily, shows a remarkable landscape value and naturalistic. Here there are also various entities that in the regional area are rare or considered to be of significant phytogeographic interest, which are in turn mentioned in the list in section 3.3 (D). It hosts a habitat of particular interest, some of which are used by raptors as perches or as areas of foraging.
