The Environmental Educator is a professional figure with a high intellectual content, able to design and deliver educational services in the field of knowledge, enhancement, promotion and protection in the field of environmental policies.

The Environmental Educator can be an employee or self-employed worker who provides his services to specialized centers, educational institutions, museums, local authorities, management bodies of parks and nature reserves, protected areas, cultural associations. Its activity can take place both indoors (classrooms, laboratories, museums), and outdoors in direct contact with the places of interest for carrying out the educational service.

This figure is also recognized by the Italian Association of Tourism Professionals and Cultural Operators (AIPTOC) authorized by Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) to release Certificate of quality and professional qualification of the Services pursuant to Articles 4, 7 and 8 of Law 4/2013.
