Il villino (1915) by Salvatore Caronia Roberti, mixes elements of English Domestic Revival character with others, such as the two-tone bands on the facade, of Mediterranean derivation.

In August 1899 the Palermo Nautical Club was founded which, in 1901 changed its name to Regio Rowing Club Palermo and, in 1902, to Real Club Nautico Roggero di Loria (not Lauria). From 13 January 1906 the new company name became Reale Società Canottieri Roggero di Lauria. (Source Municipality of Palermo).
