Village in Contrada Carabollace
The site is located south of the Monte Rotondo relief, has the characteristics of a marine vicus composed of isolated and variously oriented housing units, referable to two different construction phases: the most ancient phase can be ascribed to the middle imperial age, the second to the late imperial age. The pottery found allows us to reconstruct the proposed chronological framework. In general, the area makes a significant contribution to the reconstruction of the framework of the navigation routes on the western coast of Sicily.
