Thapsos

Bronze Age village and necropolis.

Bronze Age village with remains of huts and buildings of various kinds (megaton type). Fortifications and necropolis with both artificial cave tombs dromos or access pit and enchytrismos. It is the most complete and vast Bronze Age settlement existing in Sicily, with its related necropolis. A slightly tapered cylindrical tower that rises in the plane of the island. Built between 1500 and 1600, the ground floor was a water tank.
