Archaeological site in Xirumi - Piano Camera
Name
Prehistoric settlement; well tombs from the Metal Age; Hellenistic necropolis; necropolis and settlement of late antiquity; (A2.2).
Description
In the area area, two vertical well tombs dug into the limestone, dating back to the Metal Age, have been reported. Next to them, dimples and holes for poles and larger circular trays were noted. To the north of the prehistoric area, two rectangular areas excavated in the
rock, in the walls of which some underground artificial cavities have been identified. The ceramic fragments in terra Sigillato and achromatic corrugated collected in the area suggest the existence of a settlement in the central area of the hill. Reporting of a Hellenistic necropolis.
