Denomination
Late imperial necropolis of the 4th-5th century; hypogeum of late ancient age
Description
Near the S.Calogero farm, there is a large cave, probably a small rock church dedicated to S. Calogero. Indications of a presence in late antiquity a little further on
north, near the Casitte estate, are made up of necropolises of pit tombs dug into the rock, closed by stone slabs. In one of the tombs, a pair of gold hoop earrings, a silver ring, a heart-shaped bronze pendant and coins of Constantine were found. The necropolis was assigned to the 4th century.
