The site falls within an area intended for reforestation by the Forest Guard Corps, at an altitude of 616 meters above sea level. On the top, the presence of an ovoid-shaped dry stone wall structure and traces of an indigenous settlement with frequentation in later times, in the Hellenistic period up to the Middle Ages, has been reported.
