Pizzo Caduta Archaeological Site

Pizzo Caduta is located along the coast line west of Licata and includes a vast area of ​​limestone cliffs jutting out into the sea with deep cracks and natural crevasses. On the north side of the Pizzo and on the east side there are about 9 circular cave tombs. Traces of a probably inhabited structure have been found consisting of cavities dug into the rock (see exhibition panel of the archaeological museum of Licata). The ceramic finds, including pottery from the proto-Corinthian age, are now on display at the Archaeological Museum of
Licata.
