Archaeological site of Monte Gibbesi

The site covers a large mountainous area that extends from the South-West to the North-East. In the south-western part is Monte Gibbesi which rises over 450 m asl and on whose summit and southern slopes, in particular immediately below Casa Fracello, are present
some cave tombs from prehistoric times. In the north-eastern part, on the other hand, on the top of the long-shaped ridge there are the remains of a rock settlement, with rooms cut into the rock and walls regularized by square blocks, perhaps from the Greek-Hellenistic period.
