Archaeological site of Cozzo Salume

The site concerns a hill of limestone, 366 m high, with very steep slopes except for the western side. On the slopes, we note the presence of fragments from the Neolithic, Aeneolithic and medieval ages with a notable density of concentration. On the rocky ridge that rises overhanging in this area there is a large circular cave, used as a stable in recent times. In the area there is a lot of medieval and prehistoric pottery from the cultures of Stentinello, S. Cono-Piano Notaro and Castelluccio. Further upstream to h. 320 m above sea level on an almost flat terrace it is worth mentioning the discovery of prehistoric pottery painted in brown. Bronze - 142th-42th century.
