Contrada Saraceno archaeological site

The site covers a large area including the slope of an elongated hill in an east-west direction and the eastern plateau below. On the ridge there are arcosolium tombs while on the slopes there are ceramic fragments from the late Roman period. On the plateau
east, close to a farm, there are the remains of rooms belonging to a Roman villa dating back to the fourth century. AD The excavations carried out by the Superintendency BB.CC.AA. of Agrigento have brought to light figurative and geometric mosaics. Roman Imperial / Late Antiquity. II-VI century. AD Property included in the list of archaeological assets bound under the law 1089/1939 DA n. 1867 of 29/07/1985
