Contrada Landro Archaeological Site
The area of archaeological interest extends all around an ancient farm of c / da Landro, in a purely hilly area. On the walls of the rocky ridge placed to the east and north of the aforementioned farm, there are cave tombs for a number of fifteen approx. Most of these have a semicircular opening and are of medium size inside. Still towards the north there is a system of canalization and water collection. In particular: a small channel dug into the rock that flows towards a rectangular basin, but with rounded corners. In the surroundings there are squared stone blocks and several steps made with pebbles that follow the natural slope of the ground. To the west of the Masseria there are two rectangular tanks with drainage channel and cocciopesto flooring. To the East / South-East remains of a wall, having a width of 90 meters. approximately. To the north-west, beyond the aforementioned canalization system, there is a semi-circular cave tomb. Ancient Bronze / Hellenistic Greek Age - XXII-XV century. BC / IV-III century. B.C
