Contrada Cipolla Archaeological Site

The C / da Cipolla site is located on the right edge of the SP 63 coming from Licata, immediately after Case Cipollla, and extends over a low hill and into the surrounding land. Coarse-textured ceramic fragments were found throughout the area, probably attributable to the late Eneolithic period. Among these there is a handle with three streaks and a very thick fragment of the bottom of a vase (about 4 cm). Minute fragments of common pottery are added to it. Two aligned blocks and a third corner were found on the hill. They are square, of large size, about 40/50 cm wide and about 80 cm long. Middle and Late Eneolithic / Classical Greek Age - IV - I cent. BC III-II millennium BC / V century. B.C
