Traces of settlement and prehistoric necropolis of the early Bronze Age and settlement of the Hellenistic Roman period

Paolo Orsi in 1921 unearthed several pit tombs from the Hellenistic Roman period which returned grave goods of appreciable quality; Furthermore, numerous square blocks, fragments of mills, fragments of tiles, limestone slabs and ceramic materials were found scattered over a large extension of land located on the top of a hill of modest elevation dominating a fertile alluvial plain. In this area, fragments of vn ceramic, sealed clear A and D, amphorae and pithoi were collected
