Archaeological site of Bellamagna
La necropolis of the Bellamagna district it is located 2,5 kilometers northwest of Pozzallo, but falls within the administrative boundaries of the municipality of Modica, in the province of Ragusa. It belongs to the Castelluccio culture, widespread in Sicily in the early Bronze Age, from 2200 to 1450 BC. 87 artificial cave tombs have been identified, most of which have a circular or subcircular plan. Some have niches inside them. A dozen graves were not completed. The area was also used as a necropolis in late antiquity, as evidenced by nine small hypogea and about thirty pit tombs (Source Wikipedia)
