Description
In a recent inspection on the summit plateau of the promontory where the military airport is located, it was ascertained the presence, on the surface, of clay fragments and specimens of lithic industry attributable to the Ancient Bronze Age and ceramics from the Roman-Imperial and late- ancient. Yes
he hypothesizes the existence on the plateau of a prehistoric settlement and a Roman and late ancient settlement.
Historical Information
The military airport is in disuse. In the area there are monuments and vestiges dating back to the First World War. On the southern side, a short distance from the railway line, there is a historic building, now in disuse, identifiable as a surface aqueduct.
