Archaeological site of the Church of S. Carlo 

Pre-existing sixteenth-eighteenth century.

During the restoration and consolidation of the eighteenth-century church, pre-existing structures were identified and brought to light referring to the first plant of modern Noto: seventeenth-century cistern, wall structures with pass-through rooms, terracotta floor prior to the 1728 earthquake, under the
center and left aisles. Scavi Guzzardi spring-summer 1983.
