Sanctuary of the Madonna della Scala
LOCATION: Location Pietà San Giovannello, 13 Km from Noto, a short distance from Noto Antica, an important historical-archaeological site.
Founded in the early 24th century, it is preceded by a monumental staircase, the façade is in Baroque style. The church has a single nave and contains among other things: a stone altar from the nineteenth century depicting the Madonna della Scala, an eighteenth-century gilded wooden urn, with the body of S. Franzo Martire; a choir with 700 stalls from the mid-XNUMXs; a Gothic arch that frames the baptismal font.
