“Anthropozoic and paleontological shelter and deposit; Upper Paleolithic engravings and paintings. " (from Landscape Plan Guidelines)

To the north of the Za Minica cave, almost on the edge of Monte Colombrina, there is a niche in the rocky wall capable of housing a calf. When I removed the docile animal in 1964, I did not expect to count dozens of linear engravings and even more unexpected to see the figure of a small deer struck by zagaglie and two strange painted figures. The latter are a schematized anthropomorphic figure, in profile, facing right, the legs spread apart, slightly opacified by a veil of calcareous concretion. The other is in correspondence with a concavity of the surface which, in my opinion, exploits in wanting to represent a vascular shape. It looks like a “flask” with a surface divided into metopal spaces each filled with linear motifs. The graffiti date back to the final Paleolithic, the paintings probably to the Eneolithic.
