DATING XVII CENT.
DESCRIPTION Only ruins remain of the ancient structure, it was an imposing military construction with a star-shaped plan (5 bulwarks), located at the mouth of the crescent of the port. It was built between the end of the seventeenth century and the early eighteenth century by the Spaniards, with the dual task of defending and controlling the Strait and the hills above, and could possibly also become a defensive stronghold.
