Door of the Saccajoli

Door of the Saccajoli

The door in late Gothic style, dates back to the ninth century, called "dei pastai", is still existing, partly buried. In the XNUMXth century a sacred shrine was placed inside, dedicated to the Madonna del Porto Salvo and later dedicated to Saint Lucia. The church above was later destroyed for urban planning reasons, and the door remained basement, but still visible.
