Porta Carolina (Royal)
Between Via Lincoln and Via N. Cervello. Built in 1784 to replace the pre-existing Porta delle Vittorie whose construction dates back to the period of Arab domination of the city of Palermo. The current name instead was given by Queen Maria Carolina of Habsburg-Lorraine, consort of King Ferdinand I of Bourbon. The gate is also known by the name of Porta di Santa Teresa due to the proximity of the monastery of the same name.
The buildings in Via Nicolò Cervello n. 50 and n. 70 which are adjacent to the door structures. Property bound pursuant to Legislative Decree 42/2004 (DDG n. 7229 of 21.02.06)
