Poggio delle Pille

On the hillock that dominates the mouth of the Valle del Signore occasional finds are to be attributed to the presence of a prehistoric settlement from the Late Neolithic Age. Studies conducted by Prof. F. Tomasello, University of Catania, attest to the discovery of a chamber tomb with a slightly elliptical plan and raised as a tholos probably belonging to the Bronze Age and a bell-type tholos, imitation of the models used. in the Syracusan area in the Middle Bronze Age.
