Polara Palace

Polara Palace

The Palace is located in Corso San Giorgio, next to the Cathedral of San Giorgio. Built towards the end of the seventeenth century, it is characterized by a baroque facade and preceded by a staircase that enriches its scenographic aspect. On the pediment, in the center, the family crest with the North Star stands out. In 2012, following renovations, hypogea with the presence of skeletons and funerary material of some interest (votive jars accompanying the tombs and a luminaria with a relief of a knight) emerged on the lower floor. The material found dates back to the Roman period (XNUMXst century BC - XNUMXst century AD).
