Ciampoli Palace - Taormina

The Palace is located at the top of a staircase that starts from Corso Umbero I.

The palace it was a stately residence in the Catalan style. 

In the coat of arms, located above the entrance door, the date 1412, the year of its construction, is carved, the mullioned windows and the access portal to the courtyard date back to that period. Ciampoli was the name of the family that owned the building, until it was bought by the Sicilian Region. Currently the building is the seat of an hotel.
