Description

Garden of the Cuti

Systematic surface reconnaissance.

On the sides of the trazzera that from Cuti leads to Portella dell'Inferno (probably the ancient path that connected the center of Terravecchia with the Munich settlement), numerous fragments of solenes, kalypteres and achromatic ceramics are found on the ground. A clandestine excavation has brought to light a short stretch of dry stone wall, consisting of a row of rough-hewn pebbles, oriented in an E - W direction. A few fragments of achromatic pottery come from the excavated earth. In the area there was perhaps a small farm frequented in the Greek age.

Greco-colonial age
