Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden of Catania is a botanical garden founded in 1858, currently directed by the Botany Department of the University of Catania. It is located in Catania in via Antonino Longo 19.
It currently covers an area of approximately 16000 m2 and includes:
1) the General Garden (13000 m2) which mainly collects exotic plants;
2) the Sicilian Garden (3000 m2) intended for the cultivation of Sicilian spontaneous species.
