Description

Castellaccio rock necropolis

Purely indicative georeferencing. Redefine !!!

On the tablet 259 I NO with the heights 414 and 438 Castellaccio is erroneously reported which should indicate the ruins of the medieval village of Brucato which is instead moved to the East and at a lower altitude. In a rocky outcrop, just below the North peak (Q.400
approximately) there are 6 cave tombs, prehistoric, of uncertain dating, mentioned for the first time in Vincenzo Forgia's thesis. F ° 259 I NW, Monte San Calogero; UTM: UC91000125, Altitude: 400 m.
