Necropolis of Monte Mele 

The site affects the summit and the slopes of the mountain located near the border with the municipality of Realmonte. It is an elongated relief in a north-west / south-east direction, on whose north-eastern and western slopes there is the presence of common pottery from the Hellenistic-Roman and late Roman periods. On the plateau at h. 425 m asl the discovery of fragments of prehistoric impasto pottery and flint is worthy of note. On the south-eastern side of the mountain, on the other hand, there are the remains of a late-ancient necropolis consisting of arcosolium tombs and numerous hypogea with arcosolium and pit tombs inside them.
