Necropolis of Cortella Corso
The Portella Corso area extends over two promontories, one of which is located to the north and the other to the south. The site occupies the entire eastern side of the northern rocky ridge, at a crossroads. The remains of clay slabs with a thickness of about 4/5 cm were found, in the vicinity of minute pits, which can be interpreted as the remains of the cover of Capuchin tombs of the Greek age. In the surrounding area some fragments of black-figure pottery, certainly remains of the funerary equipment. The back of the ridge is not very thick and the north and west sides rather steep.
