Necropolis of Contrada Le Serre
The Le Serre district is located north of km 283,5 of the state road 113; Antonio De Gregorio defines it as “a very low hill, sunny, not with much vegetal soil, scattered with some olive trees. One is immediately struck by the sight of a large number of rectangular niches. Each niche is pressed to a little 1,70 × 0,44 m, it seems to me that these tombs go back to historical age "" In this district, Antonio De Gregorio continues, there are absolutely distinct tombs. They are circular holes… ". These are “oven” tombs with access wells. F ° 249 III NE Carini; UTM: 33SUC41052510; Altitude: 30 m.
