Contrada Furmica necropolis

Necropolis

Four pit tombs lined and covered with limestone slabs. A Capuchin tomb.

In 1959, during agricultural works, a limestone slab with an insulting Greek inscription was found in the Mirona building. A series of essays unearthed five classical Greek age tombs which returned grave goods dated from the second half of the XNUMXth century. BC and the middle of the fourth century. B.C. Orsi identifies in the Furmica district, in an unspecified area, a cemetery from which a Latin title comes.
