Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions - Taormina

The museum is a permanent structure that exhibits finds of the figurative culture and artistic craftsmanship of the Sicilians between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. The fundamental purpose of the Museum is to recover and make available to the public pieces of artistic craftsmanship and objects of use, such as devotional wooden sculptures, nativity scenes, anthropomorphic ceramics, elaborate pieces of Sicilian cart, posters of the puppet work, which constitute a testimony precious of Sicilian life and popular culture.
