Museum of the Sea
The Museo del Mare, opened in 1997, is a museum in Palermo located in the ancient Bourbon arsenal of the city. Inside the museum you can admire two cannons from the Bourbon era, cast between 1781 and 1785. There are also portolans, original books that contained the technical indications for the safe landing in the various ports. You can admire scale reproductions of scialbecchi, galleys and gunboats.
